From the perspective of our ancient past, the studies of astrology and astronomy was not separate but collaborative and was in fact inseparable from each other for 1800 years.
Astrology meant “the practical application of the (medieval) art or science of astronomy,” according to the Oxford Dictionary. Astronomy referred to the act of classifying the 'stars' or the 'celestial bodies' .
Astronomy is the study of the universe and its contents outside of Earth's atmosphere. Astronomers examine the positions, motions, and properties of celestial objects. Astrology is the observation of the combination of synchronicity that are manifested from the movements of the planets Everything is vibration including the planets resonating at their own frequency that has impact on the whole cosmos The only reason astrology is labelled pseudoscience is because you cannot document the 'interpretation' of the vibration in its essence however you can identify it through its expression through humanity and its personality characteristics and events that may or may not take place. Before the 16th century, astrology was the practical science that during the “Age of Reason” astrology was no longer considered theoretical or commercially viable, (due to the rise of Christianity) but an actual field of study. The Catechism of the
Catholic Church categorically rejects astrology:2116 All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to “unveil” the future [Cf. Deut 18:10; Jer 29:8]. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone. Nicolaus Copernicus [Catholic] (1473-1543) During the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance due to 'Moorish' influence, astrology was the guide of kings and of their people, and it was at this time the consciousness of the planet accele
rated. However even though it has been labelled 'pseudo' it still plays relevance in everyday society Back from the 1960s in England it's been documented of the Chief Justice of england saying that the moon had great influences in all diseases in the brain especially dementia. In 1842 England created the lunacy act which held lunacy in it's own right separate from insanity To be insane was to be chronically and incurably psychotic whereas a lunatic was someone to be under temporary affliction to the psyche during the full moon
There was even a story of a British Soldier who was charged with the murder of his comrade back in 1940 and used the excuse of 'moon madness' in his defence. It was even known amongst earth physicians that the amount of moisture in the brain varied in accordance with the waxing and waning of the moon hence creating a various range of mental condition
s including bouts of insanity and epileptic attacks. The actual practice of medical astrology was greatest in the West between the fourteenth and the sixteenth centuries. Astrology was taught in the medical schools of Italy. They had used this science to help in diagnosing and treating patients due to the identifications of ailments within their natal chart or noting the transital influences that may be influencing them due to the current positioning of the sun moon and stars. They also used this information which medics still use for example when the moon is in aries they know not to do any brain, head, eyes or face surgeries. Astrology is very much real and embed
ded within our reality whether we acknowledge it or not.. But to begin to become aware of astrology begins to really open our eyes to the full perspective of possibilities and influences that impact us on a karmic/spiritual, mental, physical and emotional level as well as being able to see how this all plays out collectively within humanity. Astrology is now considered a pseudoscience as it cannot be proven 'scientifically' through the lense of westernised science we can definitely find proof of its existence
within the fields of quantum physics and quantum mechanics Even though astrology has always been embedded within our history the astrology vs. astronomy debate still continues to this day
